National Representative Panel Members
Napo and the Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP) are recruiting for people to join our existing panel of ‘National Representatives’. National Representative panel members are commissioned to directly represent members in our most complex cases where a members’ employment is potentially at risk. We currently have 5 members on the panel and we are keen to grow the Panel. We welcome applications from underrepresented groups particularly Women and applicants from a Black Asian or minority Ethnic background.
The Task
Working in tandem with the Napo Assistant General Secretary you will be invited to take on individual case work. These cases will in the main be when members face direct threats to their employment status. This may be as a result of capability proceedings, long term sick absence or disciplinary charges following a formal investigation. Often the member may have been immediately suspended and will look to the union for assistance.
Panel members will be commissioned by the AEP and/or Napo to provide support on an individual case by case basis, subject to their availability.
Commissioning will be on a consultancy basis with an hourly fee of £25.25 plus reasonable expenses. Ongoing training and support will be provided via attendance at quarterly meetings.
If you have experience in representing members with complex casework, we would be interested in hearing from you.
Please contact Cynthia Griffith at cgriffith@napo.org.uk or on 0207 223 4887 for further information.
Closing date for applications is Friday 17th February 2023.
Interviews will be held virtually via Teams on 20th and 23rd March 2023.
