Happy Pride Month! June is a special time for us to celebrate the vibrant diversity, strength, and resilience of our LGBT members. We honour and recognise the contributions, struggles, and triumphs of the LGBT community, both within Napo and beyond.
Napo has been at the forefront of fighting for LGBT equality. LAGIP (Lesbian and Gay in Probation) was set up by Napo members back in 1973. We have come a long way since the 1970s, but there is still so much more that we need to do.
Pride Month is not only a celebration but also a reminder of the ongoing journey toward equality. At Napo we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and valued for who they are.
That is why we have established the Napo LGBT Network. If you identify as LGBT, we would like you to join the Network. You can do so by contacting Steven at ssage@napo.org.uk. We would also like to get the views of our LGBT members to make sure that the Network is working for you. So please complete our short survey (below) and to give Napo your views.

The findings of the survey will be used to focus the work of the LGBT Network and we shall provide feedback of the findings at a future meeting of the Napo LGBT Network.
So as it is June and Pride Month let's come together to support one another, educate ourselves, and participate in events and initiatives that uplift and celebrate the LGBT community.
