Greater Manchester Health, Safety and Fire Team have given us permission to share their helpful guide to reporting health and safety incidents on Sphera. Please do record all incidents, however small you feel they are, to enable the employers to build up a much more realistic picture of what is happening on a daily basis, and this includes times when you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed by your workload.
The SpheraCloud Portal report allows any employee who wishes to record a health and safety event (accident, incident or near miss) to access a simple SpheraCloud report. Once submitted the report is immediately uploaded to SpheraCloud, where the Health and Safety Team can categorise the event and allocate for investigation as appropriate. If there is an incident where you have been injured, felt uneasy about someone’s behaviour, or something happened where injury may have occurred to you or others, then this should be reported to Sphera. All fire incidents can now be reported onto Sphera too.
Once you click on either the link or the QR code -it takes you to the template, you just need to answer all of the questions ensuring that you have completed the site details and including the name of your Line Manager as they the person that completes the investigation. If there any witnesses to the incident - please include them on the form as they may be asked to complete a witness statement.
Once all the yellow sections are complete – please click saved on the bottom of the form. This submits the form to the Health and Safety Team for the next stage.
This only takes a couple of minutes.
The portal report is accessed via the following URL or via EQuiP; you do not need log in details to report an incident
